      The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) and John R. Briggs Elementary will be offering an Environment in an Integrating Context Model Open House for teachers and naturalists on Thursday, April 26. The open house runs from 9 a.m. to noon, at Briggs Elementary School, 96 Williams Road.

      Ashby residents, Charlotte Gleason and Corie Bussell, were recently named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Simmons College. Gleason is a junior at the college where she majors in nursing; Bussell is a sophomore at the college with an undeclared major.

Uminski takes second in state geography bee
      Overlook seventh grader Chris Uminski took home second place in the state geography bee for the second year in a row. The competition was held Friday, March 30, at Clark University. He received $75 and a National Geographic World Globe. He is the son of David and Carolyn Uminski of Ashburnham.
