Townsend student Nashoba Tech Student of the Month

WESTFORD - Cherisse Carlo of Townsend has been named Student of the Month for March at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.

Cherisse, daughter of Robert and Donna Carlo, is a senior in the Health Assisting program. She attends Middlesex Community College full time through Nashoba Tech's Dual Enrollment program, and she is on the Dean' List while earning credits toward an Associate's Degree in nursing. She is a highest-honors student at Nashoba Tech.

She plans to continue her education to become a registered nurse, and has been accepted to the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the University of Massachusetts Boston, Regis College and Salem State College.

Cherisse was nominated by guidance counselor Lyn Blouin, who said: "Cherisse volunteered to help at open house to talk about dual enrollment. She was such a great representation of the type of student that takes advantage of every opportunity NVTHS has to offer."
