Helen Mary (Antonelli) Lucies, 87 Was longtime Ashburnham resident; devoted to her family

ASHBURNHAM - Helen Mary (Antonelli) Lucies, 87, of 71 Main St., died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.

She was born in Fitchburg on June 20, 1919, the daughter of Paulo and Genoveffa (Matachione) Antonelli. She grew up in Fitchburg and graduated from Fitchburg High School. She moved to Ashburnham many years ago.

Many years ago she operated a private house cleaning service in Ashburnham. She was totally devoted to her family. She was a member of St. Denis Church.

Mrs. Lucies eaves her sons, Frederick Lucies of Guilford, Vt. and Anthony Lucies Jr. of Groveland; her daughter, Flora Lucies of Ashburnham; her brother, Antonio Antonelli of Amityville, N.Y.; her grandaughter, Sarah Modeen of Waterbury, Conn.; her grandson, Andrew Lucies of Amherst; her great-grandaughter, Emily Modeen of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Anthony O. Lucies, died Feb. 21, 1993. She was also predeceased by brothers Frank, Stephen, Michael and Ernest Antonelli and sisters Mary Debitetto, Frances Haimila and Theresa Kuriger and a great grandaughter Dorothy Modeen.
