Rescheduled program to feature raptors
0%Following their Annual Business meeting, the Ashby Land Trust will host the VINS (Vermont Institute of Natural Science) Nature Center's Live animal program "Raptor Encounter." This first hand encounter with live falcons, hawks, and owls focuses on the natural history, ecology and adaptations of these efficient predators. Participants learn what adaptations make a bird a raptor. The Raptor Encounter is a great introduction to these specialized flying hunters. Touchable artifacts and hands on materials round out this special experience."

The Land Trust Meeting will begin at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 21, at the First Parish Unitarian Church, Main Street, in the center of Ashby. The Raptor program will begin at 11 a.m. immediately following the business meeting. The program is free to those wishing to attend. For more information, (978) 386-5591.
