Quinns hope to hear bluebirds' call this spring

      An Ashburnham couple are continuing their work trying to bring the Eastern Bluebird back in force to the area. Doug and Mary Quinn have been working for more than 15 years to help re-establish the bluebird population. The Quinns use their 25 acres to house a few bluebird couples every spring.

Local parish to offer spring give-away
      St. Denis Parish will offer its First Annual Spring Give-Away. Grand prize is $10,000; second through eleventh prizes of $250. Drawing date is June 2. Limit of 300 tickets to be sold. Ticket cost is $100; with proceeds to benefit the church's maintenance fund.
