Local church offers informational programs to residents

Ashburnham Community Church will offer a presentation and question answering session about various aspects of Estate Planning on Sunday, May 13, from 7 - 8 p.m. Attorney Keith Glenny, of LaFortune and Glenny in Winchendon, will lead the discussion about wills, Probate Court, health care proxies, and powers of attorney.

The event is free and open to the public.

The church is also holding "Setting Limits While Staying Connected," a talk for parents, will be presented by David Haddad and Emmy Rainwalker. It will take place on Monday, May 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ashburnham Community Church.

There is no charge, and all are welcome.

This talk will give some hands-on techniques about how to set firm limits while showing caring and kindness. This leads to positive self-esteem and confidence in children while strengthening our parentchild connection.

David Haddad, Ed.D., is a psychologist and family therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children, families, school systems and organizations. Emmy Rainwalker, LICSW, is a clinical social worker working with children, adults and families. She has been teaching parenting skills for over 25 years.
