Community Notes Time to think about Summer Camp 4-H Camp Middlesex will host an Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3. The camp offers Day Camp (ages 6- 12) and Overnight Camp (ages 8-15) for boys and girls, running seven weeks in July and August. Open to all, 4-H membership is not required. Day Camp offers various Extended Day options for early morning drop-offs (includes breakfast) and/or late afternoon pickups (includes dinner), for flexible hours to accommodate working parents. Summer Camp Fun includes dance, theater, archery, fishing, boating, swimming, low ropes, sports & games, arts & crafts, barnyard, horse management, nature, pioneering and rocketry in wholesome program geared to youth development through learning and doing. Located on beautiful Willard Brook at 1031 Erickson Road, Camp Middlesex is fully accredited by the American Camping Association and licensed by the Board of Health. Winner of the Safety First Hall of Fame Award and the Peace Award (Providing Exceptional Avenues for Cultural Exchange). For more information, e-mail them at office@ campmiddlesex.com or call (978) 386-7704. 26th Annual Spring Festival and Craft Fair planned Townsend United Methodist Church is getting ready for its 26th Annual Spring Festival and Craft Fair planned for Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Townsend Common. Crafters from all over New England will participate with a great variety of arts and crafts. (Rain date is Sunday, May 20). Crafter spaces are available. The fee is $20 (spaces are 12- by 12-feet, with the crafter providing their own table and tent. Donation of plants needed for upcoming sale The Friends of the Townsend Public Library are seeking plant donations (perennials and annuals) for their upcoming plant sale on Saturday, May 12. Interested people can drop off plants the day of the sale at 7 a.m. or make other arrangements with the plant sale coordinator. Please make sure they are in sturdy containers of some kind (some pots can be picked up at the library prior to the sale) and that the name of the plant is marked on the container on a piece of masking tape.
