Saying, "Thank you."
A couple of dozen town employees and volunteers attended a reception Monday evening at the Town Hall to thank former Selectman Lorraine Emerson for her service. Many brought cards of thanks, which brought out laughter and tears from Emerson and those attending. The cards were a tribute to the tradition she started of sending out Christmas cards to all employees and volunteeers signed by the selectmen. Emerson, who did not run for re-election, spent six years on the Board of Selectman and six years on the Advisory Board.
