Selectmen to interview interim town administrator candidates Selectmen plan to interview two candidates for the interim town administrator position at their meeting on Monday. The board will be interviewing Paul Bouchelle and Dana Keenan, who are both former town administrators. Bouchelle has served as the interim town administrator twice in the last year, while Town Administrator Kevin Paicos has been on short-term training assignments with the National Guard. The selectmen are looking for a candidate to fill in for Paicos, while he is deployed as part of the Massachusetts National Guard. "I leave mid-summer some time, so the interim will come on full-time at that time," Paicos said. The goal will be to bring the interim town administrator on the staff in the next few weeks so that person could work part time with Paicos. Paicos is expecting to be deployed in during the summer and expects to be gone about a year. But if his orders are extended the Board would be in its' rights to ask the interim to stay. Paicos said an interim would typically be hired on an hourly basis and be expected to work a certain number of hours during the course of the week but the specifics would have to be negotiated between the selectmen and the candidate. |
