Who put the crispy in my chocolate and peanut butter?

Two more of my absolute favorite things to eat are chocolate and peanut butter, and now I made a recipe that is so easy and combines them both. How much better does it get?

Most of us like to have something that satisfies our sweet tooth and crunches when we bite into it. This recipe takes all of that and is great to keep in the fridge for unexpected company, dessert on the back deck, or just a munchie while laying on the couch after a long, hot day.

Chocolate and peanut butter are a marriage made in heaven. If you are allergic to peanut products, I'm sorry, this one just won't work for you. Some recipes cannot have the peanut butter substituted.

My Crispy Chocolate and Peanut Butter Log has become a family favorite for many reasons. The grandkids love it, it can be taken just about anywhere, including a school function, picnic or bake sale, and keeps in the fridge as long as it may last. I have used both creamy and crunchy peanut butter, use whatever you prefer. It's also a nice way to use up the bottom of the box of Rice Crispies, so it is a money saver.

Butterscotch chips add that little something extra in the log as well. The butterscotch chips blend very well with the chocolate chips and peanut butter to create a smooth taste with just a twist of something different. Even though I make this more in the summer time, it's also a nice holiday recipe, so cut this out and keep it around for later in the year.

I am anxiously awaiting my little garden to start producing fresh veggies, so until that happens, why not concentrate on dessert recipes? Everyone loves sweeties.

If you are planning a backyard cookout any time this summer, this is a quick and simple goodie to put on your table. Kids and adults alike love it, and guaranteed you will be asked for your recipe. This is one sweet that can pop up quite often. It's also fun to decorate for whatever celebration is happening at the time.

Rice Crispies are a part of Americana, and for them to make a debut in a fun dessert is something totally delightful. They have been around since I can remember, and that's a pretty long time, so utilize them in a different way other than floating in a bowl of milk.

Enjoy this fast and inexpensive dessert. I believe you will discover that you can bring something to the table that you'll be proud to serve.
