Salvation Army announces 'Summer Fun' program

FITCHBURG - The Salvation Army announces its participation in the USDA Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free meals are provided to attending children 18 years old and under, without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or handicap. Meals are provided to attending children at The Salvation Army-Montachusett Corps, 739 Water St., Fitchburg. The children will be fed breakfast from 9 to 10 a.m. and lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The 'Summer Fun' Program runs for seven weeks in the summer from Monday, June 25, to Friday, Aug. 17, Monday through Friday, for ages 6 to 12. The program will consist of story time, crafts, recreation, and special guest speakers.

Both programs are free of charge. All parents need to drop off their children in the morning beginning at 8:45 a.m. and picked up by 1:30 p.m. when program ends for the day.
