POLICE LOG Tuesday, June 19 1:47 a.m., Woodland Drive - Parking ticket issued - parking on a sidewalk. 1:15 a.m., Woodland Drive - Parking ticket issued - parking in wrong direction. 5:24 a.m., South Street - Male party called reporting a dog walking back and forth across the road near Mare Meadow Pond, another male party into the station to report the same dog. 7:45 a.m., South Street - Report of black lab in the road in the area of Mare Meadow, animal control officer notified. 4:26 p.m., Beech Hill Road - Caller into station to speak with officer regarding domestic assault and battery. 4:44 p.m., Narrows Road - Officer reports several male parties fishing off dam, advised them they were trespassing and to move along. 6:39 p.m., Shore Ave-Lakewood - Caller reports he placed a sign at entrance to Lakewood Park notifying residents of work that will be done to roadway. 7:42 p.m., Sawin Drive - Caller reports small black dog has been in area for several days, animal control officer notified. 10:18 p.m., Oakmont Drive - Ashburnham PD reports they are getting burglar alarm from Oakmont High School and have officer enroute, all set. Wednesday, June 20 11:48 a.m., South Street - Person into station to report his cell phone missing. 5:30 p.m., Bartherick Road - Residence reports they have two puppies whose two collars are stuck together, needs fire department with bolt cutters, puppies all set. 5:33 p.m., Eaton Street - Caller reports saw three boys walk into woods with a can of gasoline behind her house, can now smell burning, fire extinguished. 5:50 p.m., Eaton Street - Caller reports she knows who started garbage fire, parents will be spoken to. Thursday, June 21 12:55 p.m., North Common Road - Caller reports a coyote approached her and barked at her while she was hiking on the Mid-State Trail off North Common Road, animal control officer notified. 2:15 p.m., State Road East - Person into station to report male party in fluorescent green shirt throwing rocks onto Route 2 at bridge. 2:29 p.m., State Road East - Old Mill to report raccoon, animal destroyed, board of health notified. 5:45 p.m., Kurrika Place - Male caller reports male at above address has his car and refuses to give it back, requests an officer. Saturday, June 23 2:46 a.m., Ashburnham State Road - Female party called reporting kids partying and being loud, have quieted down for the night. 10:30 p.m., Whitney Street - Caller reports dark gray pickup was backed up to rabbit club gate possibly trying to dump mattresses; nothing found. Sunday, June 24 1:24 p.m., Shady Avenue - Female party reports she and her husband just returned from vacation and their home was broken into. 3:35 p.m., South Street - Caller requesting to speak with animal control officer regarding a family of foxes possibly loving in her shed, she also found a deer leg in her yard which she believes was brought there by a coyote, animal control officer notified. Monday, June 25 8:26 a.m., Bean Porridge Hill - Potato Hill Road and Bean Porridge Hill Road will be closed to through traffic, police and fire can get through. 8:38 a.m., East Road - Female party requesting animal control officer regarding a dog she took in. 1:06 p.m., Caller reporting a couple of kids walking behind the baseball fields. Due to recent activities, he is concerned about who the kids are and what they are doing; male parties advised they are allowed only on the baseball field with the VFW's permission but cannot go on the property behind it. 4:22 p.m., Ellis Road - Caller reporting gunshots coming from sandpits near house. 7:36 p.m., Main Street - Bank of America Security reports they lost communication with ATM machine, would like officer to check machine for smell of smoke, burn marks, etc. 8:42 p.m., Main Street - Caller reporting he heard two gunshots coming from VFW field area; nothing found. Tuesday, June 26 11:01 a.m., Main Street - Possible assault at dry cleaner. 4:29 p.m., Ashburnham State Road - Report of motor vehicle accident on Route 12 and Fred Smith Road, one operator took off on foot in pursuit, units have one in custody. |
