Celebrating the Fourth of July

The Devens Independence Day Celebration will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at Rogers Field. Music, food and fireworks will be featured. Rain date is Saturday, June 30. For information, contact Jane Witherow at (978) 772-8875.

Tuesday, July 3

A Downtown Block Party will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. on Main Street, Fitchburg. The party will feature live entertainment, classic cars, an International Food Court, vendors, children's events and family fun. Fireworks will be held at dusk (approx. 9 p.m.) For information, visit www.civicdays.com

Worcester's Fourth of July festivities will be held at Cristoforo Park, Shrewsbury Street, Worcester. The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. with fireworks accompanied by Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and Sousa marches at 9:30 p.m. For information, call (508) 753-2924. Wednesday, July 4

The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular at the Hatch Shell, Charles River Esplanade, Boston will be held. A free outdoor concert will be performed from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks at 10:30 p.m. Call (888) 484-7677 or visit July4.org for information.
