Westminster's senior center calendar

The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402.

M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before.

A minimum of 24-hour advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings.

The following events will be held this summer:

An Ice Cream Social will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St. Edward's Church.

The annual cookout, with the Gardner and Ashburnham Council on Aging, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Lit's Club, Airport Road, Gardner. The council is asking for a $3 donation. Salads and goodies would be very much appreciated, also bring your favorite lawn chair.

A Chicken Barbecue will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the VFW. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call Ann MacAloney at (978) 874-2036.
