Local resident earns honors at Skidmore

Andrew Sibley, a member of the Class of 2009 at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY, received academic recognition at the college this spring. Sibley was selected for membership in the Honors Forum, which works to strengthen intellectual life at Skidmore and especially to encourage the academic aspirations of highly motivated and talented students.

He is the son of Joel and Eva Sibley of Ashburnham.

Local students earn honors from BU

Ashburnham resident Elizabeth Ahlin, received a M.S.W in Social Work from Boston University, which awarded academic degrees to 5,358 students in May 2007.

Cara J. Saudelli, of Ashburnham, was recently named to the Dean's List at Boston University for the Spring semester.

Local students honored at Assumption

Three Westminster residents were honored at Assumption College in Worcester for earning Dean's List grades during the 2007 spring semester. They include Kristen Louise Kaddy '07, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kaddy, of East Road; Shauna Colleen Perkins '08, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Perkins, of Newton Road; and Joshua Robert Schonborg '09, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry R. Schonborg.

Local residents graduate from Assumption College

The following local residents recently graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, at the 90th Commencement Exercises.

Matthew Philip Gahan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip M. Gahan of Ashburnham; Kristen Louise Kaddy, Summa Cum Laude, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George F. Kaddy of Westminster; and Danielle Anne LeBlanc, daughter of Ms. Mary Ayotte-LeBlanc of Westminster. Local residents named to MWCC President's and Dean's List

The following local Mount Wachusett Community College students completed a minimum of 12 semester hours with a grade point average of 4.0 and were named to the President's List for the 2007 spring semester: Frederick Cackett Jr, Donna Dion, and Sarah Stiles from Ashburnham; and Zachary Fissette, Jeremy McLamore, and Adam Nadeau from Westminster.

The following local students completed a minimum of 12 semester hours with a grade point average of 3.30 to 3.99 and were named to the Dean's List for the 2007 spring semester: Jeremiah Driscoll, Penny Elliott, Dawn-Marie Gould, Keith Gould, Andrew Henderson, Lisa Jahn, Mark Kennelly, Katherine Kusza, Tracy Letourneau, Maureen Murphy, Jeffrey Putnam, Stephen Smolinsky, and Nicholas Tello from Ashburnham; and Brendan Beauvais, Kimberly Benham, Jonathan Berube, Mark Brillon, Samantha Carlson, Kevin Devlin, Clyde Fayorsey, Roslyn Hartford, Benjamin Johnson, Jennifer Kilgour, Alison Landry, Ashley Legere, Jessica Morin, Gregg Pappas, Stephanie Vedoe, and Lionso Ventura of Westminster.

Locals part of MWCC nursing graduates

Ashburnham residents Donna Dion and Lisa Jahn graduated from Mount Wachusetts Community College's Practical Nurse program at Devens on Friday, June 29. The pair were among their 27 classmates during the traditional pinning ceremony.

Local student receives honor at Greenville

Ashburnham resident Kevin Bender, a senior at Greenville College earned the College Scholar award for the spring semester. A College Scholar award means Bender has been on the Dean's List for three or more consecutive semesters. Bender is the son of James and Barbara Bender
