Superintendent to hold public forums

The Ashburnham-Westminster Superintendent of Schools Michael Zapantis will hold four public information sessions about the upcoming override election for the operational budget of the school district.

The informational sessions will be held at the cable studio in Oakmont Regional High School on Thursday, July 26, and Thursday, Aug. 9, both, at 6:30 p.m.; at the Ashburnham Council on Aging in the VMS Building, at noon on Tuesday, July 31; at the Westminster Town Hall, in the selectmen's meeting room, on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 6:30 p.m.; and one at the Ashburnham Stevens Memorial Library on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 4 p.m.

Voters at being asked to vote on the override - $313,67 in Ashburnham and $492,459 in Westminster - on Tuesday, Aug. 14, at John R. Briggs in Ashburnham and Westminster Elementary School, respectively.
