Rotary Round-Up: News of the Ashburnham-Westminster Rotary Club

On Monday, July 23, the Rotary Club held its annual golf tournament at the Woods of Westminster Golf Course to raise money for scholarships for graduating Oakmont and Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical high school students. Ninety-four golfers enjoyed the golf, in spite of some rain in the late morning, an excellent meal, silent auctions and raffles, and a pleasant day of recreation and prizes.

The winners were as follows: First - John Cappellini team; Second - Peter Vynne team; Third - Ernie Muserallo team.

Long Drive winners were Mike Dauphinais Zajac in the women's competition. The winner of Closest to the pin - Todd Parsons.

The Rotary Club wishes to thank all those who sponsored holes, donated prizes and participated in the tournament for their support. Because of the money raised during the even the club is able to award three $1,000 scholarships to deserving students annually.
