A thanks to those who fielded the costs

To the Editor:

I would like to take this time to thank the many people, businesses and organizations who donated their time and money towards making significant improvements to the Arthur I. Hurd Athletic Field. Without impacting the taxpayers of Ashburnham or Westminster, the school district was able to use these donations to upgrade the synthetic turf, install field lights, pour a concrete pad, as well as install a retaining wall and new bleachers. We now have a multi-purpose athletic field and additional improvements that will be enjoyed by students and community members for many decades to come. On behalf of the students and the Regional School District, thank you for your generosity, vision and commitment to the community.
