Adelma (Kryander) Murray, 94
She was born in East Templeton on Jan. 10, 1913, the daughter of the late John E. and Helmi S. (Ojala) Kryander. Adelma worked as a waitress for over 40 years, at the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster, and the Sterling Inn in Sterling. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Westminster, the Friendship Club in Westminster, the Golden Age Club of Gardner, and a Charter Member of the Gardner AARP. She enjoyed long rides and going out to dinner with Ron and Rena. She also enjoyed playing cards with Alyssa and Chelsey. Adelma leaves two nieces, Vera Karjanen of Florida and Betty and Dick Amidon of Winchendon; four nephews, Edward Karjanen and Peter Kryander, both of New Hampshire, Paul Carlberg of Gardner, and Stephan Gerzadowoicz of Texas; a grandnephew and his wife, Ron and Rena Amidon of Templeton; one great-grandnephew, Kyle Amidon of New Hampshire; three great-grandnieces, April Amidon, Alyssa Amidon, and Chelsey Amidon all of Templeton; and many other grand and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bruno Kryander and Waldo J. Kryander; four sisters, Elsie Karjanen, Aina Carlberg, Hilda Gerzadowoicz and Helen Erickson. A private graveside service was held in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Adelma's name to the Baldwinville Nursing Home Activity Fund, PO Box 24, 51 Road, Baldwinville, MA 01436. The Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements. |
