Greenwood catches the bronze at NE Open Championships

Local Ashburnham swimmer, Erica Meissner, competed in her last meet with Greenwood Memorial Swim Club over the weekend of July 27 at the 2007 New England Long- Course-Meter Open Championships at Harvard University.

She and her teammates on the Pre-National and National level accrued a combined team score of 1761 points giving GMSC a third place finish overall. GMSC's 24 swimmers competed against 29 other New England teams under the direction of National Coach Don Lemieux.

The rest of the GMSC competed during the weekend in Gardner at the end of the Summer Challenge with 36 swimmers and finished overall second with a combined team score of 2,296.50.
