Oakmont announces orientation programs
Oakmont Regional High School student leaders and administrators are hosting several events to welcome new members of the school community and help them get a head start on the new school year.
On Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. transferstudents are invited to go to Oakmont for an informal discussion about student life at the school.
Peer Leaders will be available to answer questions and provide tours of the campus. Any student entering grades 10, 11, or 12 from a high school other than Oakmont is encouraged to attend this event.
On Monday, Aug. 27, from 6 - 8 p.m. all incoming ninth grade students and their parents are welcome at in school's Freshman Orientation Night.
Student Council members will lead tours and discussion groups for students. Administrators, faculty members and National Honor Society students will provide an informative and entertaining presentation for parents. Administrators hope that all freshmen and their parents will take advantage of this opportunity to get acquainted with their new school community.
Classes begin at Oakmont for all students on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
