Parents to receive survey on co-curriculars

The parents of elementary and middle school students will be receiving a letter from the Ashburnham-Westminster School District to determine if they are interested in letting their children participate in co-curricular activities.

Once interest levels are determined the Superintendent of School Michael Zapantis will bring a proposal to the Regional School Committee on how to fund these activities. The funding will be based on a fee, which will be determined by participation levels. The school district's funding of activities was eliminated after the failure of the override for additional school funding in August.

High school students will be asked to sign up for activities during their lunch periods.
