BWRI to hosts domestic violence training

Battered Women's Resources, a program of the YWCA of Central Massachusetts, is seeking new volunteers for all programs.

The Leominster-based agency will host free domestic violence training from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 10, through Thursday, Sept. 13.

BWRI provides services to victims of domestic violence and their children throughout North Central Massachusetts. For information, or to sign up for the training, contact Nicholas Howe at (978) 537- 2306, Ext. 19.

Tickets on sale for NRA Banquet and Auction

The Central Massachusetts Friends of NRA Banquet and Auction will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Four Points Sheraton, 99 Erdman Way, Leominster. The evening will feature a dinner, auction, drawings and door prizes. Tickets are $45 per person and must be purchased by Sept. 17 (tickets will not be sold at the door).
