Westminster calendar for September

The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402.

M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before.

A minimum of 24 hour advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings.

Bingo is offered Mondays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m., the Circle of Artists meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Thursdays feature the Walking Club from 9 to 11 a.m. and craft time from 1 to 3 p.m. A blood pressure clinic is held the first Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. to noon.

St. Edward the Confessor Church will celebrate its Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, on church grounds, 10 Church St., Westminster. The festival will feature fried dough, chili, New England clam chowder, many food booths, an indoor flea market, baked goods, handmade crafts, children's games, a moon walk, face painting, hay rides, a cash raffle, a silent auction, and more.
