      ASHBURNHAM - Mark S. Houle, 50, of 17 S. High St., died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, on arrival at Heywood Hospital, Gardner. He was born in Springfield on April 24, 1957, the son of Joan B. (Petseki) Houle and the late Roland Houle. He was a 1975 graduate of Chicopee High School, Chicopee.

      FITCHBURG - Earl R. Spare, 95, of Fitchburg, died Saturday morning, Sept. 8, 2007, in The Highlands Care Center, after a short illness. Earl was born on Sept. 28, 1911, in Fitchburg, the son of Arthur and Ellen (Bennett) Spar, and lived in Fitchburg all of his life.

      LEOMINSTER - Roy J. Urban, 90, of 63 Green St., died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in his home. Roy was born on Dec. 24, 1916, in Waynoka, Okla., the son of Roy and Louise (Davis) Urban. He retired several years ago from Bemis Bag and Paper Co. of Pepperell.

Was General Electric manager; long time Ashburnham resident
      ASHBURNHAM - Robert L Powers, of Ashburnham, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 of cardiac arrest. He was born on Nov. 3, 1930, in Nyack, N.Y. He received a BS degree in industrial engineering from Lafayette College, Easton, Pa. in 1952 and joined the General Electric Company that year.
