FSC Family Weekend slated for September

Fitchburg State College is opening its doors to students' families this month.

The main event for Family Weekend, held Sept. 27 through 29, is the 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, performance of magical theatrical illusionists The Pendragons and opening act ventriloquist Lynn Trefzger at Weston Auditorium.

The Pendragons have performed around the world with their award-winning show "The Ghosts of Broadway." Tickets for the event are $10 for FSC students; $15 for family, faculty/staff and alumni; and $20 for the general public.

Family Weekend events also include a Mardi Gras-themed parade starting on North Street by Weston Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, followed by the crowning of Mr. and Ms. FSC, fireworks and an outdoor showing of "Shrek the Third" near Wallace Civic Center. The general public is highly encouraged to attend the free events.
