Livingston Taylor to benefit land conservation World-class singer/ songwriter Livingston Taylor will perform in concert from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Oakmont Regional High School, Oakmont Drive, Ashburnham. An active performer since the 1970s, Taylor now mixes performing with teaching at the Berklee School of Music. He has numerous songs, a top 40 hit, 14 albums, and over 4,000 performances in all kinds of venues around the world to his credit. He is known for his heart-warming baritone voice and musical versatility. Taylor has just produced a new CD, "There You Are Again" and a book titled "Stage Performance" based on his life experiences. He tells his students that "performing is about the audience." This concert is being sponsored by the Ashburnham Conservation Trust in order to benefit their land conservation efforts. First Church of Templeton will hold a Flea Market and Artisan's Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Templeton Common. The event will feature a variety of flea market and vendor tables, attic treasures, baked goods, an Artisan's Expo highlighting the talent of local artists, children's games, and food. The Leominster Sportsmen's Club will celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day with an NRA Safety & Firearm Education Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Camp Bartlett, 1455 Elm St., Leominster. The Gardner Museum will sponsor a Fall House Tour titled "Opening Gardner's Doors II" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This special one day, self-guided home tour will truly open the doors to six unique and fascinating homes in Gardner including a 1794 colonial built by one of the areas earliest settlers, a charming 1930's storybook cottage and a stately brick Tudor. Townsend will celebrate its 275th Anniversary with a parade at 2 p.m., proceeding along Route 119 from Scales Lane to the Sterilite plant. The parade will feature music, costumed characters, antique cars, floats, historical re-enactors, and more.
