Sharing their story
 | | The Westminster American Legion choose eight students to represent the town at the annual Boys and Girls State organizations events. Those students, Daniel Mcdonald, Nathan Hawkins, Victoria Ryan, Olivia Wirtanen, Jonathan Grenier and Kenneth Murphy, shared their tales of the experience with the Legion member on Monday, Sept. 17. Taylor Pelletier and Kelsea Bilodeau, who also went to Girls State, were unable to attend the Monday meeting. The trips and expenses were sponsored by local organizations including the Lions Club, the Rotary Club, the Westminster Women's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 174 and American Legion Post 174. In June, the Boys' State event was held at Stonehill College and the Girls' State event was held at Westfield State College. COURTESY PHOTO |
