School committee reviews potential capital project

      The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School Committee voted to ask town officials in both Ashburnham and Westminster, to hold places on the fall town meeting warrants while they discuss a list of capital items that might need funding this fall.

Affordable Housing Committee to hold informational forum
      The Ashburnham Affordable Housing Committee is sponsoring a Housing Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Overlook Middle School library. Residents are invited to attend this forum so that the Committee can ensure that all housing needs of residents are identified.

Rice named to state library board
      State Representative Robert L. Rice, Jr. (D-Gardner) was named to the Board of Trustees of the Massachusetts State Library by Speaker of the House of Representatives Salvatore F. DiMasi (D-Boston). Rice will serve as the Speaker's Designee on the seven member board.

      The Ashburnham Cultural Council has set a Monday, Oct. 15, deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.
