KISS 108's Costa to host Taste of North Central in November

Billy Costa, host of NECN's "TV Diner" and Co-Host of KISS 108's "Matty in the Morning Show" will be the guest emcee for Montachusett Opportunity Council's thirdannual "The Taste of North Central."

Costa will be present to highlight the participating restaurants and their delicious cuisine. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel, Fitchburg.

"We are very excited to have Billy Costa host our third annual Taste of North Central, and we expect his presence to provide additional regional attention to this event," said MOC Executive Director Kathleen McDermott.

For the past two years, the Montachusett Opportunity Council's event has been "the event of year," drawing 600 people from across the North Central region. Last year's Taste of North Central showcased 30 of local restaurants in the region and proved that locally-owned restaurants are an important part of the community. Sonoma, Relish, The Bootlegger and Ixtapa Cantina are just a few of the restaurants that participated.

This major event is paramount in MOC's continued effort to support the agency's mission of developing collaborative opportunities and empowering low-income individuals and families in the Montachusett region to achieve self-sufficiency. In 2006 alone, MOC provide assistance to over 19,000 individuals through direct services from its Divisions and Delegate Agencies. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Montachusett Opportunity Council's programs for children and families.

Billy Costa has been the host of NECN's "TV Diner," a restaurant review program, since 1992. In 1980, Billy joined KISS 108 as an entertainment and lifestyle reporter.

This event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased in advance. Tickets are $30 each and will go on sale later this month. Please contact MOC, Inc. at (978) 345-7040 for further information.
