ACT says thanks to supports, sets new goals

As President of the Ashburnham Conservation Trust (ACT) I would like to thank everyone who attended the Trust's annual fundraiser. This year's Livingston Taylor concert was a huge success with almost a sell-out crowd. I would also like to thank the sponsors of this event. Their financial support more than covered the costs to bring this event to Ashburnham and maximize the funds we will earn towards future habitat protection and stewardship costs.

Our Trust is an all-volunteer board that has been involved in the permanent protection of about 1,400 acres in our area during the last six years and has targeted over 1,400 more acres in the next two. These events help make it possible for ACT to continue our efforts to protect the natural heritage of our area. As with most small volunteer organizations member dues are never enough to fund all the projects that we have in front of us. Fundraisers like this are a critical way for us to raise money and to reach out for support from our community.
