Historical Piano Concert's presents Joshua ASHBURNHAM - Historical Piano Concerts' 23rd fall season presents pianist Sharona Joshua on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m., at Ashburnham Community Church, corner of Main and Chapel streets. Sharona Joshua's program will include Chopin's "Revolutionary" and "Black-Key" Etudes, the Etude in E, Op.10 No.3; the B-flat minor Scherzo; and two Nocturnes: Felix Mendelssohn's Rondo capriccioso in E, Op.14, and "Spring Song": Robert Schumann's Phantasie in C, Op.17: and the Nocturne No.5 in B-flat, by Irish composer John Field, written in 1817. She has appeared internationally as soloist and as chamber musician. This is her second performance on the Historical Piano Concerts Series. Rollstone Congregational Church will host "Carnival of Faith" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 199 Main St., Fitchburg. A benefit fundraiser will be held for Pamela (Gould) Smith from 7 p.m. to midnight, at the Gardner Fish and Gun Club, 538 Clark St., Gardner. Smith is a resident of Ashburnham. The Fourth Annual Fitchburg Autumn Festival & Forge-in Blacksmith Competition will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Riverfront Park, Fitchburg. The festival will feature the Forge-In, an Antiques and Art Show, and The Great Pumpkin Carve, live music from 60s Invasion, seasonal foods, activities for children and a chance auction of local and/or related items.
