Westminster Senior Calendar for October The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402. M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before. A minimum of 24 hour advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings. Bingo is offered Mondays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m., the Circle of Artists meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Thursdays feature the Walking Club from to 11 a.m. and craft time from 1 to 3 p.m. A blood pressure clinic is held the first Thursday of each month from 11 a.m. to noon. Senior Series Breakfast to be held The Senior Series Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the senior center. The Westminster Fire Department will be doing a program on "Fire and Safety." French toast and fruit will be served. Reservations requested. Circle of Artists to host exhibition The Circle of Artists will host their second annual Westminster Art Exhibit Show from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the senior center. Artists, who have been working on their art throughout the year, will have their paintings on display at the center. For information, call Virignia Krul at (978) 874-0375. Forever Young Club to host trip The Forever Young Club will host a trip to Twin River on Thursday, Nov. 8. For more information, call Mary LaJoe at (978) 827-4882. Council on Aging meetings The Council on Aging Board meets the third Wednesday of every month at 8:30 a.m. All meetings are open to the public; meetings are held at the senior center. |
