Watershed Association to celebrate local teachers The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) will hold its 2007 Annual Meeting on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Radisson Hotel in Nashua, N.H. The keynote speaker will be Gary Hirshberg, Chairman, President, and CE-Yo of Stonyfield Farm, on "Stirring it up; How to Make Money and Save the World." The NRWA 2007 Environmental Education Award recipients are Kate Bennett and Mary Gagnon, teachers at the John R. Briggs Elementary School in Ashburnham and John Mendes, principal of the Fall Brook Elementary School in Leominster. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a reception, dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the business meeting, NRWA annual awards, and the keynote speaker at 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend dinner is $60; reservations required. The business portion of the Annual Meeting, beginning at 7:30 p.m., is free; an RSVP for those attending only the business portion is appreciated. The public is welcome.
