Girls' softball tryouts Oct. 28

Local Red Sox playing in big games, too
      The locally based New England Red Sox headed out to play at least five games of baseball in Las Vegas, to participate in the 2007 Over 50/60 National Fun Tournament, sponsored by the National Adult Baseball Association. The tournament started on Monday, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 27.

Overlook cross country teams finish
      The Overlook Boys' and Girls' Cross Country teams ran in the Wachusett and Quabbin invitationals on Saturday, Oct. 13, that included all the middle schools from Worcester County. The boys ran in the Wachusett Invitational, which has been held since 1957. More than 140 runners were entered.
