Lascivious Biddies bring music to campus events

FITCHBURG - Three upcoming CenterStage events will bring pop, jazz and sass to audiences of children and adults.

The Lascivious Biddies will make appearances at Fitchburg State College in November.

Known for their sexy twist on cocktail pop, The Lascivious Biddies have earned a reputation for having an energetic and tightly woven live show that sparkles with four-part harmonies, expert musicianship, and magnetic wit. The ladies have captured their unique sound in their latest recording, "Get Lucky."

The Lascivious Biddies will present a talk, "Meet the Biddies: Women Working in the Music Biz," at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Percival Auditorium. The event, which is free, features an inside look at how the ladies blend their cabaret-pop style with business and brains. The afternoon will be a mix of lecture and performance, and features topics like repertoire, performing, recording and podcasting.

On Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m., in Percival Auditorium, children are welcome to attend Meet the Itty Biddies: A Concert of American Stories for Young Audiences. Children and adults alike can join the Lascivious Biddies on a musical tour of American stories and songs in this interactive morning performance. From circus songs, to homes on the range, to the sounds of the Big Apple, the Biddies will demonstrate the unusual and fun sounds their voices and instruments can make. Clap, snap, shout and sing at this event for all ages. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $5 for students.
