Women in Technology program starts again

The sixth annual Women In Technology Program orientation was held recently at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School. Participating in the annual event were students and their facilitators from Monty Tech, Leominster High School's Center for Technical Education, Gardner High School, and Narragansett Regional High School, along with IT specialists and engineers from SimplexGrinnell and Tyco Safety Products in Westminster.

During the Women in Technology students work in teams to develop solutions to reallife business challenges. The program requires that they spend five hours every other week at Tyco's Westminster office building, working directly with engineers and information technology professionals from Tyco Safety Products and SimplexGrinnell.
