Westminster Senior Center

The Westminster Senior Center is open Monday through Friday 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. and is located in the American Legion Hall, 127 Main St. For more information, call Susan Fisher at (978) 874-7402.

M.O.C. meals are delivered daily. To reserve a meal, you must call (800) 286- 3441, before 11 a.m. the day before.

A minimum of 24 hour-advanced notice is necessary to reserve seating on the Council on Aging curb-to-curb van service. The COA has two shopping days a week - Searstown on Tuesday afternoons and to Gardner on Thursday mornings.

The center will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12, in observance of Veterans' Day and on Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Westminster Circle of Artists will hold their Second Annual Art Exhibition from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at the center. Stop in to see the beautiful paintings the art class has been working on.

Friendship Club to honor veterans

The Westminster Seniors Friendship Club will host a program "Salute to the Veterans" at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at St. Edward's Church Hall, Church Street, Westminster. Chairperson Amy Van Hazinga has organized a singing group to sing military songs dating from World War I through the present times. George Engman will accompany on his accordion.
