Charles A. Graham III, 79
He was born in Ashuelot, NH, on March 6, 1928, the son of the late Charles A. and Bernice (Smart) Graham Jr., and lived in Fitchburg for the past 20 years. Mr. Graham was a floor manager at the former H. Margolin Company in Fitchburg, and worked there until its' closing. He later worked in the Leominster school system, retiring in 1990, after seven years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hiking for most of his life and expanded it to camping and bicycling in his retirement. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Mr. Graham was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Hospital Apprentice, Second Class, in the U.S. Navy. He leaves his loving wife of 52 years, Deloris J. (Fowler) Graham; one son, Richard E. Graham and his wife, Rachel F. of Ashburnham; one daughter, Charlene A. Graham of Fitchburg; one brother, James Jackson of Keene, NH; two sisters, Pauline Thurber of Guilford, Vt. and Lois Whipple of Oregon; three grandchildren, Charles A. Graham, Thomas J. Graham and Deenna M. Riad; and one nephew, Walter Baronowski of Richmond RI. Funeral services are private. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home directed arrangements. |
