Barbara Ann (Morley) Oja, 65
Worked for Emerson Hospital; was avid reader

WESTMINSTER - Barbara Ann (Morley) Oja, 65, of 33 Newcomb Road, formerly of Fitchburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Route 2 in Leominster, earlier that day.

She was born in Fitchburg on Aug. 11, 1942, the daughter of the late John F. Morley, who died in 1966. She was a 1960 graduate of Fitchburg High School.

Mrs. Oja worked in Patient Registration and Admitting at Emerson Hospital in Concord for the past four years and had worked before this in the same capacity at Leominster Hospital and Burbank Hospital.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fitchburg. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the beach, traveling, music and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Oja leaves her husband of 47 years, Gerald Richard Oja; three sons, David R. Oja and Scott M. Oja, both of Fitchburg and Kevin M. Oja of Brookline; two daughters, Susan M. Oja of Farmington, N.H. and Ann-Marie E. Oja of Athol; her mother, Adrienne (Lavoie) Morley Michaud of Fitchburg; one brother, John F. Morley, and his wife, Pamela of Trinity, Texas; two sisters, Mary M. Leary and her husband, William T., of Fitchburg and Judith A. Nacke and her husband, Carl, of Leominster; six grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Kyle St. Peter and Emily, Meghan and Jacob Oja; five nieces, Traci Podrazik, Lynne Delmonico, Jennifer Bidleman, Melissa Forcier, and Marsha Morley; one nephew, John Dustin Morley; and one aunt, Anna Lavoie of Leominster.

Private funeral services and burial in Forest Hill Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions made to Montachusett Home Care, 680 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA 01453.

Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home directed arrangements.
