Gertrude May Tyler, 87
Former Westminster resident; loved antiques

THORNTON, N.H. - Gertrude May Tyler, 87, of Waterthorn Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Cottage Hospital, Woodsville, N.H.

Born in Sterling, on May 8, 1920, she was the daughter of John and Alice (Tuttle) Person. She grew up in Leominster, and graduated from Leominster High School. She also was a graduate of Becker Junior College, in Worcester.

Mrs. Tyler resided in Westminster from 1968 to 1985, and moved to Thornton, N.H. in 1985. She and her late husband had a love for antiques. They owned and operated the Potato Barn Antique Shop, in Lancaster, where they loved to restore, repair and sell antiques.

She was a past member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church, in Leominster, and the Westminster Congregational Church, in Westminster. She and her husband were past member of the Leominster Apple Squares, and enjoyed square dancing any time they could.

Mrs. Tyler is survived by two sons, Kenneth R. Tyler and his wife, Deborah of Old Lyme, Conn. and Timothy J. Tyler and his wife, Carol of Thornton, N.H.; five grandchildren; a brother, Fred Person of Leominster; a sister, Ellen Stuart of Sterling; several nieces and nephews
