      Erin Leamy and Cassandra O'Hara won the first round of competition in the 2007- 2008 Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. The posters created by Leamy, of Ashburnham, and O'Hara, of Westminster, will move on to the District 33A competition to be held later this month.

Westminster Lions Club hosts variety of winter activities
      As the holiday season rolls in, the Westminster Lions Club continues its community service with a number of activities and fundraisers. On Wednesday, Dec. 12, starting at 6 p.m., the Westminster and Ashburnham Lions Clubs will sponsor the annual Speech Contest.
