Drawing for oil

Stephen Belliveau and Mike Alario, founded FAS this year to help raise money to reinstate sports and activities in the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District that were cut due to budget restraints. The winner of the raffle was Gisele Boone, of Gardner, who was one of 824 people to buy a raffle ticket. She will have a choice of winning 1,000 gallons of oil or $1,500. The money raised will be given to the school district as a gift to reinstate the girls' and boys' freshman basketball programs. The next activity the group will be working on is a calendar created by using work from the students in the district's arts program. Advanced orders are being taken by check until Friday, Nov. 30.
