Editorial William Aubuchon Jr. died on Monday leaving in his wake a legacy of civic engagement and business success. Aubuchon's son called his father a man that had earned his legacy by living ethically and by following a theory of giving forward." When you read his obituary the service he provide this community is unbelievable. This year may be a tough Christmas and holiday season for some of us with gas prices and heating bills rising and then the effects of that on our food and other bills. But what many of us need to do as we drive by the Dunkin' Donuts and think about getting a cup coffee or as we buy that more expensive gift for our family members and friends, is think about those that are struggling more than we are. There are many ways to give a little gift of joy - Toys for Tots, local food pantries, BACPAC collections (see page 3), and many other service projects. If you can think about giving forward because you never know what will be given back. |
