ASHBURNHAM - Helen E. (Saari) Bachmann, 95, of 28 Main St., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at home after an illness.

Helen was born in Fitchburg on Feb. 14, 1912, and lived in Ashburnham all her life.

Helen worked at the Ashburnham Public Library for 20 years.

She leaves her son, Walter "Wally" Bachmann of Ashburnham; and her daughter, Anne Kiehl of Virginia. Her husband, Felix Karl Bachmann, died Aug. 26, 1992.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions in her name may be made to a charity of choice.

Bosk Funeral Home of Fitchburg is assisting the family.
