Christian Performing Arts announces upcoming auditions

FITCHBURG - The Christian Performing Arts Center announces auditions for its February theatre production of "Do Lord Remember Me" by James de Jongh. This fulllength production of theatre, dance, and song is based on documented interviews with freed slaves in the 1930s. "Do Lord Remember Me" will be presented as part of Black History Month.

Roles available for one black actress and two black actors who can change age, voice, and characterization, as well as sing and move expressively. Actors must prepare one monologue and sing one song acappella for audition. Rehearsals will begin after Christmas and are tentatively scheduled for Saturdays. The production will run the last two weeks of February.
