Donate books at Oakmont

The Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham has partnered with Got Books to place a drop-off donation and reuse container for residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and others that want to contribute books they no longer have a use for.

The bin will also accept CDs, DVDs, videos and audio books.

The Got Books donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow signs, is located across the driveway from the school's main entrance at 9 Oakmont Drive and is open to all members of surrounding communities at any time.

According to Got Books, donating books is a great way to keep them out of the trash stream and give them a new life with someone who will treasure. Books collected through these Got Books containers are sold in charity books sales to raise money for local nonprofits. In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Got Books donation container will benefit Oakmont's Student Activity Fund.

This is one of the more than 200 bookdonation bins placed throughout New England.

Got Books raises money for local charities and nonprofit groups by hosting weekly charity book sales at their warehouse located at 35 Concord St., North Reading.
