FITCHBURG - Janet K. (Kehr) Becker, 96, formerly of Liberty Place, and a long-time resident of Verona, N.J., died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Rose Monahan Hospice House, Worcester after a brief illness.

She was born in Hawley, Pa. on Nov. 21, 1910, the daughter of George and Mary (Franz) Kehr and resided much of her life in Verona, before moving to this area in the late 1990s.

She worked as an accountant in the estates and trust department of the Glenridge Trust Company, Glenridge, N.J. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Verona.

Mrs. Becker is survived by a son, Paul Becker of Oradell, N.J.; a daughter; Rita Feeley of Westminster, three grandchildren; Kevin Feeley, Michael Feeley and Susan Becker. She was the wife of Charles Becker who died in 1968.
