14 FRIDAY Crossroads Community Church, 839 Ashby State Road, Fitchburg, presents "Friday Night Live," a family contemporary Christian Service, at 7 p.m. Dance Revelations, a sacred dance team, will perform. Tickets are $6. Call (978) 582-6565. The community is invited to a Wreaths Across America ceremony at 11:45 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Road, Winchendon. There will be the laying of 256 wreaths on the graves, the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, a Benediction, Prayer for the Honored Dead, rifle volley and taps.
Five O'Clock Shadow, an all-vocal rock group, will perform at 8 p.m. at the Bull Run Restaurant, Route 2A, Shirley. Call (978) 425-4311. 16 SUNDAY A Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at the V.F.W. Hall, Eaton Street, Westminster. This event is sponsored by the Westminster Lions Club and will benefit the annual distribution of Lions Christmas baskets. Tickets are $3 each (children under 6 years old eat free). One free ticket for this breakfast is being given to anyone purchasing a Lions Christmas tree on sale at the V.F.W. field.
The Fitchburg Art Museum will celebrate music of the season at the museum, Merriam Avenue. The Christian Performing Arts Center Youth Theater Group and the dance group Awakening, directed by Jennifer Potts, will perform at 1 and 1:30 p.m. respectively, followed by chamber music by the Connello Consort at 2:15 p.m. Call (978) 345-4207, Ext. 303. 18 TUESDAY Elisabeth Von Trapp, granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron Von Trapp whose story inspired "The Sound of Music," performs in concert at 7 p.m. Shirley Middle School, 1 Hospital Road.
