ASHBURNHAM - Thelma J. (Woodworth) Mei, 84, of 100 South Main St., Ashburnham, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Thelma, daughter of the late Harold and Joyce (Luff) Woodworth, was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on Aug. 12, 1923, and lived here many years. Her beloved husband, Joseph J. Mei, Sr. died in 1971.

Mrs. Mei loved being with her family. They were a source of constant pride to Thelma. She enjoyed flowers, taking care of her yard and trips to Foxwoods. She spent her life taking care of her children and her family.

She is survived by four sons, Robert W. Mei, Anthony A. Mei, Donald F. Mei and David J. Mei, all of Ashburnham; two daughters, Sharon Bessette of Ashburnham and JoAnn Mei of Kingston; 12 grandchildren, Ryan Bessette, Darren Bessette, Shawn Mei, Timothy Mei, Melissa Bateman, Michelle Bray, Domonic Mei, Dylan Mei, Marcus Mei, Santino Mei, Brittany Mei and David Mei, Jr. and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Bateman, Alyssa Bray and Grace Bessette. She was predeceased by one son, Joseph J. Mei, Jr.; two brothers, Harold Woodworth and Donald Woodworth; one sister, Florence Reynolds; and one great-granddaughter, Nicole Bateman.
